Btw, that website that distributes the two games (do not remember the url right now), does not have the very last unreleased version of Guru Logic for MSX1: afaik is a private version with some goodies, who know if it can be somehow stolen and released!  Anyway, what was that site's URL?. Can't find it in my historial...  |

Hum! Impossible stages? I thought that they were fixed. Remember that there was one version with some bugs and then another *FIXED* version was published. But again, maybe some bugs were still there. And there is a third version, never published, with some improvements and MORE stages (240 instead of only 180). By the way, if you need more time, there is an Easter Egg: try to use the password "CAROLINE". I know, I know... Don't say a word about it  |

Thanks, Robsy, for the tip ! I want now to try to resolve the last 33 stages !  What is amazing with this game is the fact that you must always change your way of thinking : in some cases, there's a simple solution when you are searching for a complex solution (in French, it's "chercher midi à quatorze heures'' ) and in other cases, the solution is really complex and requires a lot of patience ... with infinite time, it's of course a little easier ! Woaw ! 240 stages in stead of 180 ! I guess that you've used data compression .... |

All of them used compression, but I slightly changed the algorythm so that it was more efficient.

I've tried the password 'CAROLINE', it works only in the first released version, you have probably deleted it in the second released version (with changes of passwords).
To access directly to the levels, I have now found another cheat :
!cheats for blueMSX :guru logic msx1
!(c) 2005 Benoît Delvaux
0,49634,0,0,infinite time
0,49650,0,0,level (0-17)
In the last cheat, the value 0 can be replaced by a value between 0 and 17; so, you can access to one of the 18 levels without using a password.
(corresponding address for openMSX : 0xC1E2 and 0xC1F2)

I have checked the last and not published GURU LOGIC version, and the Caroline password works great. And it has 250 levels instead of 240. RLE compression seemed to do the trick.

Btw, I've downloaded lately the MSX1 version (never got before a chance to get it...)  and I must say that it's superb!. I love the concept!. I'm not a fan of puzzle games; but lately I'm enjoying a very good ones! |

The pages on MSX Valley about Guru Logic are in progress .... I've made now all the screnshots and their conversion in the PNG format About impossible stages : well, there's only one impossible stage, it's stage 7 in level 11  It seems me evident that this stage is impossible !  I've succeed to resolve almost all the other stages (I've skipped only 4 or 5, I'll try them again later). As I was curious to know if there was a final demo after level 18, it took me 3 days to solve all the stages of this level : one thing is sure, even if it seems impossible, you must try another tricks to get the solution ! But ... there's no final demo, only a black screen after level 18 .... maybe it's different in the unreleased third version with 250 stages |

I presume that the good version of stage 7 in level 11 must be something like that :  I have also some difficulties to resolve stage 3 in level 8, I can place correctly only 28 bricks :  UPDATE : BiFi has succeed to finish this stage, so I should try it again ! |
