This is another Dinamic spectrum conversion, what made me thinking these things in the eighties...

How good that game would have looked like, only if every software sprite vehicle (your jeep, trucks, helicopters, submarines) could have just one sprite on top of them to give them much needed colour... imagine how shiny and cool those vehicles could look after that! Smiley
Your own missiles should be still software sprites to make them visible. Explosions do look good anyway without any alteration! Cheesy But second stage (where you fly helicopter) has problem, as there is almost impossible to see all ground to air enemy bullets before they hit your helicopter! Maybe also software sprite enemy bullets should have sprites (flashing in different colours?)  on top of them? But I think you cannot make enemy bullets using only sprites, because there can be so many bullets fired at you...

First stage bridge and clouds look good already . Smiley

Army Moves Part II ... I guess it would look too flickery if every soldier is sprite. Do I remember it correctly that there were many running enemy soldiers on screen at the same time? Maybe cleverly planned colourful software sprites... ?

This is good game which suffers badly because enemy bullets etc can be almost invisible in helicopter flying stage... I have never completed first part of game just because of that...

And I do not mind if there could be nice arrangement of whistling from the movie "The bridge on the river kwai"... Wink I was VERY disappointed to hear msx had different strange tune after playing Army moves on commodore 64 first.. (which of course had that "whistling" tune, actually it´s not like whistling on c64, but it´s that movie tune anyway) thought I was happy that there WAS in-game tune on MSX version anyway....

Karoshi has made one remake of Dinamic classic already... how about making another? Wink

AAH! I had completely forgotten your jolly tune! I instantly ran namake on blueish msx Wink and left tune playing while I am writing this... Cheesy Nice arrangement, KNM! Smiley

Maybe faster tempo and cut funnyness a bit, and make arrangement longer, and you´ll have "Army Moves tune"! Cheesy

So glad you like it  Wink

Yes,the arrange could be improved making it longer and speeding up the tempo, but in Namake´s it needed to be slowed down due to keep player focused on the game : a Brain-Killing-Puzzle-Maze needs all your attention  Smiley

BTW,if you want to hear more on the game, keep playing and you will find three more covers : Steve McQueen´s The Great Escape,Alfred Hitchcock´s TV Show theme, and Spanish traditional song called "Paquito El Chocolatero".

Hope you like it! - And,of course THE GAME.It has a lot of work from SapphiRe and it´s pretty addictive and challenging.

And a great sound cover by KNM, of course. If you get tired, you can dance instead playing the game Grin Grin
