This post may sound off-topic, but for the 8bit lovers i think it's not so far...
Maybe you all know all about those affordable famiclones we can find on chinese and indian bazaars, and even much more affordable at India, Thailand, China, etc.
From around 1 year ago, the project playpower.org appeared to help the research and development for these famiclones, as well for studying these machines electroncially (for circuit-bending, arduino, robotics, etc.)
It's a very interesting project, which is plenty of ideas to share and talk about in their communities (playpower.org, it's wiki/ning/googlegroups, etc.).
