Título: Lightgun programming
Publicado por: cactushead en 28 de Diciembre de 2005, 01:02:26 pm
Does anyone has a copy of the on-line a document about light gun programming in assembler, that covers the most usual models: Gun Stick (MHT Ingenieros, Spain), Light Phaser (SEGA) and Terminator Plus-X (ASCII, Japan).
I notice that in Duck Hunt there is at most 1 target, but on several ZX spectrum games, (with a similar lightgun) they manage
to have several targets, how do they distinguish between the targets?

Making several screen updates.  ;) But robsy's the master with guns, pistols and whatever, so he will surely explain it better  :D

Maybe he could write a mini-tutorial about lightgun programming, I would like to see some more games programmed for lightgun the next MSXdev edition.  :)

I've tried to write down such document for ages, but time goes on!

Instead of a tutorial I think that I'll prepare a white paper with all the info condensed on it. I've gathered information about Gunstick and Lightphaser, but I couldn't test Terminator-X gun 'cause I don't owe it. Anyway, with minor changes, I think that I can cover it all and produce a mini test program for you all.

When? Dunno!
