1  Development Boards (English) / General Info / Re:More and more new stages for Eggerland Mystery ! : 28 de Julio de 2016, 05:09:00 pm
so i guess the only thing missing is porting/converting this game to ColecoVision and SG-1000! ;p - anyway, thanks a lot from my part! Smiley
2  Foros de Desarrollo (Español) / Desarrollo / Re:Busco una versión simplificada del driver de Moonblaster : 04 de Junio de 2016, 04:49:30 pm
forget the drivers, just study how vgm format works, like with these examples from https://vgmrips.net/packs/chip/ymf278b , and access the respective i/o ports (0x7E and 0x7F?) directly
3  Development Boards (English) / Suggest a Game / Richard Scarry's Best Electronic Word Book Ever : 03 de Junio de 2016, 10:07:56 am
not exactly a game:

since it’s made for Coleco Adam, it seems to be very easily convertible to msx1
4  Development Boards (English) / General Info / Re:Game maps on MSX Eggerland : 12 de Mayo de 2016, 01:20:52 pm
perhaps would be a quite neat idea sharing all these maps in Tiled format as well! Wink
5  Development Boards (English) / Development / bash script for converting .rom into .cas, and play them : 11 de Mayo de 2016, 10:11:27 am
hi everyone!

recently i posted this bash script in a msx.org forum thread:
- http://pastebin.com/raw/TZGcC6kT (on the msx.org forum is at https://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/development/trying-to-convert-rom-into-cas-with-a-bash-script?page=2 )

about playing, the idea is to have a cassette cable connected between the msx and the sound output from a desktop/laptop/workstation/tablet(like with Ubuntu or Debian installed), enter ‘run"cas:’ on the msx, and run this converter/player script - i didn’t test it yet, please let me know some feedback about, how fine it works! Smiley (i only tested the .cas files from OpenMSX, and all results works fine, when they are supposed to run)

for now, what is missing is to convert 48kb rom files (like those unpaged from MSXDev-Karoshi compos), do anyone know how can we do that? i tried to use routines from CasLink, but they are not working yet... - thanks! Smiley

6  Development Boards (English) / Suggest a Game / Re:Pole Position : 07 de Abril de 2016, 01:16:39 pm
i made some improvements - the colecovision version can be found at http://atariage.com/forums/topic/152019-another-reason-pole-position-shouldve-been-released-for-the-cv/?p=3485908
(i was about uploading msx1 version here, but this forum doesn’t allow adding attachments)

9  Development Boards (English) / General Info / Re:MSXdev'15: what's up? : 03 de Octubre de 2015, 06:08:05 pm

i heard about MSXDev'15 via facebook now ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/793226674097507/permalink/917273968359443/ )

it seems MSXDev isn't managed in this forum anymore - what happened?

10  Foros de Desarrollo (Español) / Informacion General / Re:"Muerte por exceso de trabajo" en Karoshi : 30 de Junio de 2015, 10:28:25 pm
sorry about commenting here in english, but i can’t remain silent seeing how interesting is the conversation here

i noticed the lack of activity of this forum mostly from seeing that almost nothing happened about msxdev'15 - would be great if, hopefully, something happen, even at the latest months of 2015, or perhaps joining efforts with TNI/#msxdev - if both are too quiet to be combined, perhaps we should start something like CSSCGC, focused on MSX

from my part, i'm never stopped in the retro scene - i have being totally focused on extending Boriel’s ZXBasic Compiler, being totally “distracted” with the hundreds of arcade based on z80 - MAME supports around 300 different machines or a bit more (2 of them are actually MSX bootleg machines! Cheesy - besides that Sega SG-1000 were also released as arcade board ) (some of them are really interesting - http://www.boriel.com/wiki/en/index.php/ZX_BASIC:Released_Programs#Arcade_Systems ), and i’m getting close to the 50th - about MSX, i still have  a lot to do, like trying to get working some sound (ay, moonsound, etc.), v9990, laserdisc (i think there is nothing homebrew or experimental released as laserdisc, even via emulation), etc.

would be great keeping the scene alive somehow! Smiley

Still trying to figure outy the best way to organize it! Be patient! Wink
only now i saw your comment! sorry about! Cheesy
(i guess the worst scenario would that it will be opened in the last week of 2015, for a rush week-long development contest, like PyWeek? Cheesy )

13  Development Boards (English) / General Info / Re:what's up about msxdev 2015? : 17 de Abril de 2015, 11:42:12 pm
it's now april... it seems tni's and karoshi's msxdev will be joined in one contest?
14  Development Boards (English) / Off-topic / Re:extending Boriel’s ZX-Basic to other hardware systems (Casio PV-1000 now) : 19 de Febrero de 2015, 09:34:30 pm
yes, for around 25 arcade machines until now (i tried others as well, but i struggled on some issues i couldn't figure out what happened) - take a look at http://www.boriel.com/wiki/en/index.php/ZX_BASIC:Released_Programs#Arcade_Systems
15  Development Boards (English) / General Info / what's up about msxdev 2015? : 19 de Febrero de 2015, 09:28:58 pm
msxdev were announced, but there are no news about since october
i guess would be great extending msxdev 2015 deadline to december, and perhaps joining with "tni's" msxdev? (perhaps focusing on 2 categories, one restricted to a specific hardware configuration (like karoshi's), and one "freestyle" (like tni’s) )
what do you all think about?
